After months of preparing our farm for visitors, we are hosting our first ecstatic dance at Thrive Farm Malta. We will be celebrating the spring equinox and opening up the space to the community for some self-expression, play and connection. The Spring Equinox officially marks the end of Winter promising fresh beginnings filled with sun-kissed days, new growth, and a fruitful season. In many cultures around the world, the Spring Equinox is a significant event and cause for a great celebration including special rituals to make way for Spring and the new energy that comes along with it. For some cultures, the Spring Equinox coincides with a New Year bringing about lively festivities. For others, it is a time of honoring the past and making room for new beginnings.

Ecstatic Dance has evolved from the conscious dance movement meditations, yoga & somatic therapies. It is a free-form, not structured dance space: In its most elemental definition it's a free-form dance movement inspired and led by carefully crafted music with the intention of creating a healing journey. Ultimately Ecstatic Dance is a form of spiritual practice. A safe space to explore healing through communion, individually and with our community/tribe, with the divine through dancing, without the iterations of the mind while talking & drinking, common in the nightclub seen. At Ecstatic Dance you have no one to impress, our attention is focused in ourselves not in others so you can be utterly yourself, getting down, letting loose, allowing your emotions, dreams and prayers to dance themselves, freeing your mind and body while connecting with your Self, others & Spirit in a safe and healthy way.

This event is a gift for the community and any donations are welcomed towards the farm project.

5.00pm -Spring Equinox Ecstatic Dance

7.00pm -Vegan Farm Soup with organic and wild produce around the Campfire
