This workshop aims to provide parents with practical tips and guidance on how to reduce their family's plastic waste and create a more sustainable lifestyle. From birth to teenage years, children can create a significant amount of waste, but it doesn't have to be that way. By making conscious environmental choices and adopting simple sustainable swaps, parents can take steps towards reducing single-use plastic and avoiding waste.

The workshop will cover a range of topics, from the basics of reducing plastic waste in the home to taking eco-friendly actions when out and about. Participants will learn about the impact of plastic on the environment and explore alternatives to single-use plastic, such as reusable water bottles, cloth bags, beeswax wraps and even cloth nappies.

The workshop is designed for parents or parents to be who are starting to reduce plastic waste in their homes, but it can also inspire those who are looking to take it to the next level by eliminating single-use plastic as much as possible. By attending this workshop, parents will gain valuable insights and practical strategies for creating a more sustainable lifestyle for their families and contributing to a healthier planet for future generations.

Ikkuluriti is a shop that specializes in offering reusable and sustainable products for families in Malta and Gozo. The co-founders of the shop, a couple named Maria and Luke, started their cloth diaper journey when they where expecting their first child Rafel. They were concerned about the chemicals present in disposable diapers and were happy to discover that cloth diapers still existed. They encouraged each other to try them out and found that cloth diapers were easy to use, cost-effective, safe for their baby's skin, and good for the environment.

Ikkuluriti aims to make cloth diapers more accessible and mainstream in Malta and Gozo, offering a variety of reusable diapers and other sustainable products. They ensure that all products in their store are ethically and sustainably made, and they have personally tested every product. Their mission is to provide practical and stylish solutions for the new sustainable family, including eco-friendly period alternatives and reducing single-use items.

Luke and Maria believe that changing the way things are done requires courage, and they encourage families to join them in making conscious environmental choices to prioritise the planet over perfection.
